Posted in So, I woke up this morning and got ready for work. And, as I was driving just said “I love you” to God. It was simple, not over arching and flowery. I just told him, to him that I love him.
I said it even though I had to wake up early and went to bed late taking care of children and doing chores around the house. I said it even thought my tires sound like they need rotating/balancing (sounding kinda funny). I said it even though there are some worries about finances coming up with a new child on the way. Times are not perfect in the economy and the state of our world, but I still said I love him.
My love for God, nor my wife and kids and family, should not be based on the circumstance I live in, but based on a deep, foundational, honest love. Whatever is going on in my life should not let my love for the Father waver or deplete. My focus should be true and forward. With all of this, I should have no other worries or fears and should allow God to take care of everything else.
… Typing into Google: I love you god, I came across a (moderately cheesy) but good video entitled “I Love You — God” and I thought to share it here. Hope it reminds you that God makes the way to him easy, and he take the 99 steps to get to you, all you have to do is accept and reach out that one step to him.
