The Texas State, known for family, fun, football and of course — Fried Food. And not just your typical fried chicken and french fries. They are well known for unique fried foods, coming up with new ones each year. This year is no different with the new Fried Beer and Fried Lemonade. (How they fry lemonade is beyond me, but then they also have Fried Frozen Margarita there this year too).

Last year, my wife and I went to the State Fair with our daughter and Foster son, Nathan. We had a great time seeing animals, riding the Huge Ferris wheel, and trying some unique food ourselves — such as Fletcher’s Corny Dogs, Pokey_O’s Ice Cream Sandwich, the award-winning Fried Peaches and Cream. We didn’t try the Fried Butter; while it looked good and we we told it tasted more like buttered toast, we couldn’t bring ourselves to taste the heart-attack-waiting-to-happen delight.
