Not only can you have Dr. Seuss feet, you can have matching Dr. Seuss slippers with your children!
Posted from Alltop: “Tell me these aren’t the most adorable matching parent-child house slippers in the whole world. And the best part about them is because you only wear them inside (where no friends can see them), your kid is 100 times more likely to go along with it.”
Check them and other styles out at Swiss Miss.
(Video) Choosing Thomas — Inside a family’s decision to let their son live, if only for a brief time. Would you, in this situation, choose life?

Okay, so get out the tissues, while you sit to watch a video that you have to see. Have you ever seen the video 99 balloons? (I blogged about it about a year ago). Well, this is just as good, and sad — but makes you grateful for the life and the children that you already have…
Twenty weeks into their pregnancy, T. K. and Deidrea Laux found out that their son had Trisomy 13—a rare DNA abnormality. After being counseled that “terminating the pregnancy” would be an option, they chose life. In Deidrea’s own words:
“We didn’t not terminate because we were hanging on to some sort of hope that there was a medical mistake or there was gonna be some sort of medical miracle. We didn’t terminate because he’s our son.”
The Dallas Morning News has produced this video chronicling the birth and home-going of Thomas after just 5 short days — even longer than most baby’s with his condition live. This is an amazing story of love and life, and you need to watch it.
The good news is that about one year after Thomas’ life ended, earlier this January, the Laux family were blessed with the birth of a healthy baby daughter. To the family who thought that they would never be parents, God’s grace is sufficient.
(Portions of text for this post were taken from fellow Seinfield fan, Denny’s Burk, on his blog about Choosing Thomas). Thanks Denny.
Joshua Zavier was born June 10 – 7lbs, 4 oz, 20.75 inches long

It has been a little while since I have posted to this blog — about 3 weeks — but then some people go on for much longer than that without posting. But I just wanted to write something really quick to, at least document here, that our son, Joshua Zavier was born on June 10, just 5 days ago, and he was 7lbs., 4 oz., and 20.75 inches long when born.We had him via a c-section after 23 hours of labor, and 4-5 dauys of pre-labor whit contractions every 5-15 minutes and no-sleep for mom. (Poor Jen is beginning to get some sleep, at least in between feedings).
We think he is just adorable, and looks a quite bit like our daughter did when born. At least we know he is ours.
See the photo to the right. this was him, probably only 1.5 days old at this time. He was so alert here, and ready to tackle the world.
To answer the looming question, how is our 18 month old accepting him? I guess we will really see how she does over the next few months when he doesn’t leave. But she is doing okay right now and we have to teach her to be gentle and tell her that she cannot play with the baby just yet. Playing with the baby to her is patting (actually to her slapping) him, or rolling the ball or her juice cup to him (which is actually just throwing it at his face — luckily the two times I have seen her trying to play in this manner, she is not a very good aim).
Nonetheless, we are very excited to see him and have him. now comes the time of just paying for him. Children are expensive, you know? Both the hospital bills and diaper bills for the next two years are more than an average family can afford these days. If you feel led, make checks payable to the diaper fund, via Sams’ Club gift cards.
Thank you for everyone’s prayers and we are happy to share him with the world. May the world be good to him.
Sarah Joy – our little girl, now 6 months old. :-)
